Terms of Service

1. What Meche does

Meche gives hosts a booking page where guests can pick a time, leave their details, and see how to pay. Meche is a scheduling tool. The service a guest books (a consultation, a lesson, a haircut) is provided by the host, not by Meche, and the agreement for that service is between the host and the guest.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create a host account.
• Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person or business per account. Don't impersonate anyone or claim a page name you have no right to.

3. Hosts

• You are responsible for the services you offer, the prices you set, honouring the bookings you accept, and following the laws that apply to your business, including tax.
• You decide your own cancellation and refund rules, and you must tell guests what they are. If you don't, the defaults in our Refund Policy apply.
• Use guests' contact details only to deliver and follow up on the booking. Don't add them to marketing lists without their consent.
• If you connect Google Calendar, you authorise Meche to read your free/busy times and to create, update and delete the events for your bookings.

4. Guests

• Give a real name and a way to reach you. Hosts rely on it.
• Turn up on time, or cancel or reschedule through your booking link as early as you can.
• Questions about the service itself, payment, or refunds go to the host first.

5. Payments

Right now, guests pay hosts directly (for example by Telebirr, CBE Birr or bank transfer) using the details the host provides, and hosts mark bookings as paid. Meche does not hold, process or guarantee these payments, and isn't responsible for a payment sent to the wrong account. When we add built-in payments through a provider such as Chapa, that provider's terms will apply too, and we will update these terms before switching it on.

6. Fees

Meche is currently free. If we introduce paid plans or fees, we will tell hosts at least 30 days in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Meche for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful. That includes offering illegal services, spamming people, uploading malware, scraping the service, trying to get into other accounts, or interfering with how Meche runs. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you put on Meche: your name, photo, bio, booking types and so on. You give us permission to host and show it so that your booking page works. You confirm you have the right to share it.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Meche running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Calendar sync and email depend on third parties like Google. We may change or retire features. If a change materially affects you, we will give reasonable notice where we can.

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Bookings already made stay the responsibility of the host and guest.

11. Liability

Meche is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Meche is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost income, missed appointments, or disputes between hosts and guests. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Meche in the 12 months before the claim. That is zero while the service is free. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Courts in Addis Ababa have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and we will email hosts about significant changes. If you keep using Meche after a change, you accept the new terms.
